Where is the camp? This year we are hosted at Nation Ford High School (1400 A. O. Jones Blvd) in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
I'm from out of town but, I'd still like to attend. Is there anywhere I can stay overnight? While the Carolina Summer Music Camp is exclusively a day camp. There are plenty of hotels and Airbnb options in Rock Hill and Fort Mill. If you choose to go this route Oak Level Music accepts no liability or responsibility for the student outside of the camp.
What to Bring
What does my camper need to bring with them? Students will need to bring the necessary items to play in ensembles. Woodwind and brass players need to bring an instrument, a folding music stand, and pencils. Percussionists will need to bring sticks and mallets, a folding music stand and a snare drum with a snare drum stand, if you have one. All campers taking private lessons should bring all of the music their currently working on to the lesson.
All students should bring a lunch with them! There will be some concessions for sale by the NFHS band boosters.
Can I bring my cell phone? Of course you can bring your cellphone but read the cellphone policy below.
How am I assigned to a band, and when do I find out which band I'm in? Chair placement in the bands is determined by the band director recommendation. Assignments will be made in the week before camp starts and posted on the first day of camp.
When is the band performing? The bands and chamber ensembles can be heard at the send off concert at the end of the final day of camp in the NFHS auditorium.
What is chamber music? Music which is specially suited for performance in a small room with less performers.
What kind of ensembles are offered? Currently we are planning on offering, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Choir, Double Reed Choir, Trumpet Choir, Horn Choir, Trombone Choir, Tuba-Euphonium Choir, and Percussion Ensemble.

What should I bring to a private lesson? You should bring any etude or solo you are currently studying. If you are not currently working on any music your teacher will have appropriate literature for you to work on. How much do private lessons cost? We charge $30 dollars for a 30 minute lesson.
Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones are expected to be turned off during instructional time. Texting, answering calls, or otherwise using the cell phone during instructional time will result in confiscation of the cell phone for the remainder of the day. Phones will be returned at the end of the day.
